Barbados' First Smart Money Summer Camp for Kids & Teens

The Smart Money Summer Camp was conceived as a pioneering initiative to provide children with essential financial knowledge in a fun and engaging format. Inspired by the importance of early financial education, I created this camp to equip young participants with foundational money management skills while involving parents in the learning process.

The project arose from the realization of the significance of financial literacy from a young age. Recognizing the lack of formal financial education opportunities for children in Barbados, I spearheaded the development of this innovative summer camp to fill this gap.

To ensure a successful launch, I employed a structured onboarding process for parents using a Google form and welcome email containing a presentation deck, facilitating smooth entry into the program. Throughout the four-week camp, I monitored engagement through metrics such as attendance and participation.

I fostered meaningful relationships with sponsors and vendors in the finance industry, leveraging their support to enhance the camp's offerings. This collaboration strengthened ties with stakeholders, enriching the overall camp experience for participants and their families.
